Tea Time is when I take a cup of whatever type of tea (black, green, white, herbal) I’m craving, go out in our sunroom, and relax and just be or reflect on whatever is important at the moment. There is something about tea and enjoying the flowers, the curls of the river birch bark rippling in the breeze, the deer, squirrels, and birds that re-centers and re-energizes me.
I’m in my sixties and am amazed at the new directions my life is taking. My photography, writing, career, relationships are all moving in new directions. My priorities are different. Some have become more important and others I am letting go of. My roles in life are changing. I am still a wife, mother, sister, daughter, friend, have a career I love, and am involved in my community. I am also a caregiver, have lost a parent and peers, work harder to stay healthy, enjoy different things, worry about transitioning into retirement, and on and on.
Why am I here? Why a public blog? I want to connect with others moving thru their sixties, to share, explore, and grow together. Caregiving, loss, retirement, new interests, staying healthy, new hobbies, new careers, giving back, spirituality, creativity, fun, and so many other facets of life need to be explored.
Please join me for a cup of tea and time for musing!
