About Me

Tea Party on Dock

Thank you for stopping by my blog site, Tea Time Musing.

Enjoying a cup of tea, either by myself or with others while reflecting on or sharing life, ideas, laughter, tears, and solving problems large or small is a lifetime habit.  As my grandmother said, “a cup of tea puts balance back in your day.”

The photo album in my mind is filled with memories like the one pictured above.  The combination of tea, nature, and a chance to indulge my passion for photography nourishes my soul, reduces my stress, and creates space in my life for musing.

Musing, mulling things over, contemplating, reflecting, cogitating, meditating, thinking about, and day dreaming form the foundation for being open to appreciation, gratitude, new ideas, new solutions, and personal growth.

My days, and maybe yours, need more balance.  Like many others, I get caught up in the craziness of life and fail to stop for a cup of “tea time musing”.   Hence, this blog dedicated to providing ideas to muse about while enjoying the restorative benefits of tea in any of its many forms.

Please brew some tea, hot or iced, and stop for a moment and muse with me about the special gifts life offers.  Share your own thoughts and ideas.  It’s okay to disagree and present another perspective.  It will give everyone something new to consider over their next cup of tea!

  1. Hi Lynda — I just discovered your blog this morning, and am glad I found my way here! I’m enjoying the peaceful, reflective tone. This year I’ve resolved to put more balance into my life and more joy into the world by visiting and commenting on a positive blog every day — often while drinking a cup of tea! I keep a list of my finds on my own blog, and have added your site as today’s entry. πŸ™‚

  2. Hi Lynda,
Thanks for visiting my blog and liking. I am glad to find your blog πŸ™‚

  3. I like the idea of sitting down to read your blog with a cup of tea. What a welcoming “About” page!

    • Thank you! I have enjoyed ambling thru your site and I love the name – I hit follow the minute I read it. I also enjoy the Blue Ridge area. We camped there regularly when I was a kid. It is so lovely!

      • Thanks for stopping by my site. I feel fortunate to have ended up in such a lovely part of the US — although this Photo 101 class has shown us a lot of beautiful places.

I followed you, too! My husband’s family has SC roots, and we go the SC beach every summer. Nice to meet you!

  4. Hi Lynda, I love tea! I came across your blog this morning πŸ™‚

    • Thanks! What are your favorite teas? I have a very eclectic assortment. Topping my list are Earl Gray and chamomille.

      • I love Earl Grey too! Thai, and English Breakfast are also some of my favourites! We have Rooibos tea here in South Africa which is very nice if you brew it properly.

      • What is the best way to brew Rooibos tea? We occasionally get it in tea bags and it’s pretty good. I also like yerba mate’. Tazo makes a nice cocoa mint one. And then, of course, tea made from my herbs. I’m hoping that my parsley and thyme survived last night’s frost. I covered them, but it’s too chilly yet to expose them.

  5. That’s interesting flavours! Rooibos is the best if you brew it on the stove!

  6. Hi! Please don’t feel any under obligation to accept, but I have nominated your blog for the Liebster Award. For details, please see my post: http://whatoftwasthought.wordpress.com/2014/12/13/the-liebster-award-to-explore-strange-new-worlds/

  7. Lynda,
Sending you a friend request on facebook – it’s from Frances Stroscio but you will remember me as Frances Harrison. Found you by accident on Ann Ravnholt’s facebook page. Would love to hear from you and chat!
